Events

 

WYRE WALKS 2002

These walks are organised by Wyre Borough Council's Ranger Service and are led by members of the Fylde Bird Club.

To book any of the following events, ring the Discovery Centre at Garstang on (01995) 602125.  There will be a small charge for these events (mostly £1.70 for adults and 80p concessions).

Bird club members are encouraged to turn up and help show people birds. Of course assisting members do not pay.

 

Sun Feb 3rd  WADER WATCH and GOOSE ROOST

Pilling Lane Ends  meet in car park at 1300hrs


Sun Mar 17th     SEABIRDS and WADERS (and maybe some migrants)

Rossall  Point meet in beach car park at 0930hrs


Sun May 5th      SUMMER MIGRANTS
in GRIZDALE  VALLEY

Date tba - December - CHRISTMAS BIRD COUNT

Meet at either Marton Mere or Brock Car Park at 10am for 10:30 start. Finish at 12:30. 
Assemble at Marton Mere in the early afternoon to compare notes. Individuals may choose any other site and conduct their own counts during the same period: all will be welcome at the Mere in the afternoon.
